Take Heart…Stay Strong…Stand Up…Speak Out…Fight Back!!

My fellow conservatives, please take heart in the turn around we have seen in the past couple of weeks. The Republican Party has finally nominated a strong conservative who has energized the base to a level that has not been seen in decades. People are showing up in droves to see John McCain…thanks in large part to his selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate. No longer are the Republican rallies a dismal turnout of a few…they are now massive events of enthusiastic supporters and curious onlookers estimated to be in the range of 8,000 to 20,000…in some instances they have been estimated at around 40,000. The tide has turned…the mood has improved…and the energy is palpable.

Stay strong to your values and beliefs. Don’t listen to the mainstream media who would have you believe that your values no longer matter. They do! Your lives…your children’s lives…and the future of this nation depend on you staying strong and holding firm to those values we hold dear. We value life…our opponents value the right to murder the innocent unborn. We value strong families…our opponents value government intrusion into and the redefining of families. We value personal responsibility which breeds self respect and self reliance…our opponents value social responsibility which breeds apathy, low self-esteem, laziness, and an over-dependency on others. We value the Constitution of the United States and all the freedoms it extends to each individual…our opponents value judges who change those freedoms with the stroke of the pen. We value a strong national defense, a well prepared and armed military, and a desire for all to be free from tyranny…our opponents value the opinions of other nations who see America as an imperialist nation intent on forcing our beliefs on everyone else and, as a result, seeks to diminish our ability to defend ourselves and others. We value the separation of powers…our opponents value judges who unconstitutionally legislate from the bench. We value a free market economy where anyone can succeed if they try hard enough…our opponents value regulations and taxation. We value freedom of religion…our opponents value suppression of religious expression.

In response to John McCain's emotional acceptance speech plea, we need to stand up and speak out for what we believe. We, the “silent majority”, have been silent for too long. We share some of the blame for the condition of our society. We have sat back and allowed ourselves and our values to be trampled by the “vocal minority”. We must stand up and speak out against corruption in our government and demand results. We must stand up and speak out when we see an injustice at home and abroad. We must stand up and speak out against insulting, vulgar advertisements and media programming and demand change. We must stand up and speak out and let Hollywood know we want more clean entertainment for our families. We must stand up and speak out and let television programmers know that we want the nudity and vulgar language to be returned to late night television or cable channels and out of daytime and primetime slots. We must stand up and speak out for national security to be a priority and securing of our borders a must.

Fight back by voting for good, righteous leaders who will fight for us and not against us. Fight back by voting for legislation that repairs and builds up our society and oppose legislation that will only harm and tear it down. Fight back by calling your local, state and national leaders and let them know that you want government to work for the people and not for themselves. Fight back by writing letters or sending e-mails to newspapers, television programmers, government officials, and companies who support values you oppose. Fight back with your wallet and refuse to support companies who oppose your values or support those who do.

It is time for us to remove the shackles of defeatism. It is time for us to stop feeling like there is nothing we can do…that we are only one person and, therefore, have no effect on what goes on around us. It is time for us to realize that we are not alone…there are millions who feel the same way. It is time for us to realize that together, we are a force to be reckoned with…together we can make the necessary changes that will restore our society to reflect the values we hold dear. It is time to let our voices be heard loud and clear…ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!
