Shame on You!

Shame on whoever is responsible for the pathetic campaign ad attacking Obama for not taking care of his “poor” half-brother in Kenya. The ad is in very poor taste and will serve no good purpose. Though it is true that the Obama campaign was out of line with their ridiculous attack on McCain for owning more than one home, this ad is even more detestable.

The ad says that the Republican Party of Texas is responsible, yet no one has been able to verify the truth of that statement. The ad also says that no candidate is affiliated with the ad. However, it will still be affiliated with McCain whether or not he had anything to do with it.

Republicans need to be smarter than the opposition. If we are to have any hope of winning the White House in November or retaking one or both houses of Congress, we need to stay above the fray and not wallow in the muck with the Democrats. We need to intelligently, clearly and concisely line out the differences between what we want for this country’s future and what the Democrats want. We don’t need to “sling mud”. Democrats constantly accuse Republicans of negative campaigning at every level, why prove them right?
