Here is a copy of the letter I sent to the three Republican betrayers of the American people; Senator Susan Collins of Maine, Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania and Senator Olympia Snowe of Maine.I don't live in your state, but I just wanted to let you know how disappointed I am in you and your two Republican cohorts who betrayed your party and the American people.
Yes, we the American people...your bosses...want our government to work together. Yes, we want an end to partisanship. However, we expect our elected officials to stand up and have a backbone. We expect them to fight for the good of this country and it's people. We do not expect them to cower and cave in to unreasonable demands and help pass unreasonable bills.
You and your two cohorts have helped the Obama administration and the Democrats saddle our children and our grand-children with a huge financial debt. Is that fair?
You could have waited. You could have held out for a more reasonable and less costly bill...one that would actually create jobs and stimulate the economy. Not one full of liberal pork barrel projects.
I, and thousands of other conservatives, will remember this and we will work together to make sure you do not get re-elected.
